Through the Upward Bound summer programs, I experienced a hands on idea of what being a college student might be like. I was encouraged in high school by my advisor and felt supported throughout. In college, Student Support Services continued that encouragement and provided me with every tool I needed to succeed in undergraduate work. I will never forget the nurturing, kind souls that helped me along the way. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Human Services in 2015, and graduated cum laude. I am proud to say I completed two of my internships with SSS and one with Upward Bound. Currently, I am employed with both ETS and Upward Bound serviing kids just like me. As I puruse my Masters in Education to become a school counselor, I take pride in working with the populations we serve. I am the first person in my family to graduate from college and am prpivileged to be pursuing graduate school as well.
