Champion of TRIO
“For Advocacy on behalf of ASPIRE and TRIO students by an elected public official”
This award is given each year; the appropriate nominations are received and approved by the ASPIRE Executive Board. Criteria to be a nominee consist of the following:
- being an elected official (includes Tribal Council members);
- evidence of active support of TRIO and disadvantaged students; and
- must serve constituents within the ASPIRE
